Employee Appreciation Sept 2012

Our owners The Garff Group know that the number one key to their success is their team of employees so we closed the dealership for 2 hours of fun and food. Our theme for this event was a tailgating party. We had all the wonderful food that goes along with that BBQ, Hotdogs, Hamburgers and Amazing Deserts. In addition we had a raffle for gifts, like duffle bags, autographed footballs, gift certificates, seats in the CBS Suite for the Texans game and more. The final event to this was the dunking booth where the managers sat waiting for the splash into that icey water.

2012 Fundraiser For Marine Lcpl Daniel Peterson

"Lcpl Peterson lost both his legs in Afghanastan. We thought it only right that we help furnish his home"

While on his second deployment, Marine Lance Corporal Daniel Peterson was left a double amputee after an explosion in the Southern Helmand Province of Afghanistan on July 24, 2010. Returning from a special operations mission, Daniel was making his way along a tree line while returning to base when a bomb exploded, hurling L Cpl Peterson more than ten feet into the air. Landing in the crater created by the explosion, Daniel immediately knew he was seriously injured. Suffering traumatic amputations to both of his legs, L Cpl Peterson also had a fractured pelvis; the broken bones and shrapnel from the blast causing further internal injuries as he awaited aid. Placing tourniquets on his own legs, LCpl Peterson was then treated by the Corpsman as his team carried him away from the tree line and prepared him for the MEDEVAC. Initially transported to Camp Dwyer, a twenty minute helicopter ride, he was later airlifted to Landstuhl, Germany before beginning his treatments at multiple hospitals state-side including: Bethesda Naval Medical Center, Palo Alto Rehab Hospital, Balboa Naval Hospital, and Brooke Army Medical Center where he continues receiving therapies at this time.

Cy Hope Check Presentation

"Our Goal Is To Support The Cy Fair Community"

This past February 16th, Northwest Dodge Donated $30,000 to the Cy-Hope Organization for the benefit of the Cy-Fair Independent School District. The donation will also be used to provide a scholarship fund for Cy-Fair students interested in attending Lone Star College. Cy-Hope currently provides a weekend food program for students in 25 Cy-Fair ISD schools and operates two educational resource centers for at-risk students in the greater Houston area. It was an honor for our dealership to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause. The donation ceremony coincided with our monthly Every Employee Counts meeting where we recognize employees who make a difference every day in our dealership, welcome new employees, and have one of our Champions address the staff on the Focus of the month.
